How Rompling works, who it’s for, what it costs, and what happens to your family’s information.
The basics
What is Rompling?
A family calendar built around one question: who has the kids? It loads your school’s days off, lines them up with your work hours, and helps you fill the gaps with camps, sitters, and the families you know.
Who is it for?
Parents of school-age kids — especially when both parents work, schedules change, or grandparents and sitters are part of the plan.
Where does it work?
Rompling is live in the Denver–Boulder area. Elsewhere, you can join the waitlist when you sign up.
Is there an iPhone app?
Yes — Rompling is on the App Store, and everything also works on the web.
Is there an Android app?
Not yet — iPhone and web today. The web app works well in Android browsers.
Your calendar
How is Rompling different from a shared Google Calendar?
A shared calendar shows what’s on. Rompling knows what’s missing: it loads school days off for you, compares them to your work hours, flags the gaps, and helps fill them.
Can I see Rompling in Apple or Google Calendar?
Yes. Subscribe to your plan from either, and pull in outside calendars — work, sports, aftercare — so they count too.
What if my school isn’t listed?
Upload the school calendar PDF or a photo, or paste the link. Rompling pulls out the days off and you review each one.
Does Rompling read my email?
No. It only sees what you forward, snap, or have sent to your family’s own Rompling address. There’s nothing to connect.
Your people
Do sitters and grandparents need an account?
No. Sitter requests arrive by email or text with one-tap Yes and No buttons.
Can my co-parent use it too?
Yes. Invite them and you share one household plan — free for them.
I’m a room parent or coach. Can I use it for the whole class?
Yes. Create a group, invite families by email, and publish the schedule — everyone in the group sees it, and families who follow it get it on their own plan. Families join free.
Cost and privacy
How much does it cost?
Rompling is free during early access. When a paid plan arrives it will be one family plan covering both parents — and co-parents and sitters will always be free, and joining a group is always free.
What happens to my kids’ information?
It stays inside your family. Safety details like allergies are only shared with a sitter when you choose to, and only with the one who says yes.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, any time, from settings in the app.
